On July 7, 2012, the hottest day on record our dear friends Morgan and Chad became Mr. and Mrs. Scott. We were honored to be a part of their wedding day capturing their love story, but most of all their generous and fun natured personalities. We did their first engagement session back it was 25 degrees, our follow up spring session was 93 degrees. What a difference 4 months makes with Morgan and Chad what a difference 4 months makes. It has now become a joke as to when the four of us will get to hang out with normal temperatures. As the girls stayed nice and cool at the Cameron Days Inn sipping mimosa’s and getting pampered by Bobbi Jo of Bliss Salon, the guys opted to go to the driving range, followed up by playing washers and enjoying a few brews along the way. I have to say they cleaned up nice after their outdoor activities. They were extremely dashing and perfect gentlemen, who complimented our beautiful ladies nicely. Meanwhile, back at the hotel, while the ladies finished with their hair and makeup our little flower girls eagerly awaited their turns to transformed into princesses by the lovely Jessica with Designers Touch LLC. They were as cute as a button before, but there is something about putting on mommy’s lip gloss and wearing a pretty dress that brought out the giggles in these two cuties.
Because Morgan and Chad chose to stick with tradition and not see each other before the ceremony we had fun capturing them holding hands and talking through a split door in the church. This was proceeded by the most wonderful surprise that Chad could give his lovely bride. During the portrait session of the day, Chad had arranged to have flowers and a note delivered to Morgan. This wasn’t just a love note, it was a surprise honeymoon to Cancun. As Morgan read her letter the tears flowed and it was hard to not shed a tear or two myself. I am not sure how Chad is going to top himself in the future, but I have no doubt he will.
After their beautiful ceremony filled with love and laughter officiated by Paul Zimmerman of the Cameron Methodist Church, we hopped on a tractor drawn trailer for a spin around town. We stopped on third street to take a leisurely stroll and to grab some fun shots in the town park. And despite the temperature of 106 degrees, we had a great time laughing and relaxing and laughing some more. I was privileged to hang out with the bridal party and these guys were a BLAST! We ended the day with a terrific reception at the Cameron Community Building where the food was great, the company delightful and the music rocked.
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Scott for a terrific day. We are honored to have been a part of your day and to call you friends.
